My name is Shanna Browning and I own Forte Marketing & Consulting. Nice to “meet” you!

A little bit about my background…

I started in the retail industry right out of college with my first job as an apparel planner for Brooks Running. From there I moved to a buyer position at Jackson and Perkins, a subsidiary of Harry and David, and moved to the Portland, OR area in 2004 to be an assistant buyer at Fred Meyer, a division of Kroger. From there I joined an independent sales rep agency, selling product lines from housewares to toys to furniture for the last 16 years of my career.

The most intense training and expansive experience I have had in my career is with 1WorldSync Data Management, Kroger DemandTec and new vendor setup in distributor portals (UNFI, DPI). Specifically for Kroger 1WorldSync, I was part of the initial training and education from the program’s inception at Kroger in 2015. Since then I have assisted countless vendors work through the sometimes counter-inutitive system to get their products set up and published successfully and efficiently.

Having such a diverse bottom-up background in the retail, wholesale and sales trades have given me a solid foundation of how to serve a variety of different customers. I have a thorough understanding of internal operations on both sides of the retail coin, which lends itself to an above average quality of service and work. My goal is always to get to the "next level" of service,  communication, and of course increasing sales for any company I partner with.
